A1Pronouns

Questo & quello

Demonstratives

This and that: two words for pointing at what is close to you and what is further away.

Near or far

Italian points at two distances from the speaker: near and far. Both words stand before a noun or on their own, and both agree with the noun, so they also cover these and those.

Questo — the forms

Questo behaves like an adjective in -o: only the ending changes with the gender and number of the noun.

All four forms

  • quello, quella, quelli, quelle

Chi è quello?
