Imperativo negativo

Negative imperative

“Non parlare!” – the negative tu form takes the infinitive.

Negating with non

You negate the imperative with non right before the verb, the Italian “don't”. For noi and voi the form stays as it is. Only for tu, the infinitive replaces the imperative.
