A workshop in Vietri sul Mare

Anna entra in una bottega di ceramica.

Anna goes into a pottery workshop.

«Che bella! Quanto costa questa ciotola?»

"How lovely! How much is this bowl?"

«Questa? Trenta euro.»

"This one? Thirty euros."

«E quella, lassù? È bellissima!»

"And that one up there? It is beautiful!"

«Quella non è in vendita.»

"That one is not for sale."

«Peccato! Di chi è?»

"What a shame! Whose is it?"

«Di mio nipote. Ha cinque anni.»

"My grandson's. He is five."

Questo means this. Quello means that.

Quanto costa questa? E quella?

How much is this one? And that one?

Tip

Unlike English, the forms agree with the noun: questo piatto, questa ciotola.
