En febrero, Lena y Jonas visitaron un piso precioso en Valencia.

In February, Lena and Jonas viewed a beautiful flat in Valencia.

—Es un barrio muy tranquilo. Aquí nunca pasa nada.

"It is a very quiet neighbourhood. Nothing ever happens here."

Firmaron el contrato ese mismo día.

They signed the lease that same day.

Pero en marzo llegaron las Fallas: había petardos por la mañana y música toda la noche.

But in March the Fallas arrived: firecrackers in the morning and music all night.

Una semana después, se cruzaron con la dueña en la escalera. Iba con una maleta.

A week later, they met the landlady on the stairs. She had a suitcase.

—¡Llevamos una semana sin pegar ojo! —dijo Jonas.

"We have not slept a wink for a week!" said Jonas.

—Normal. Yo llevo veinte años sin pasar las Fallas aquí.

"Of course. I have avoided spending the Fallas here for twenty years."

For "have not... for": llevar + time + sin + infinitive.

Llevamos una semana sin pegar ojo.

We have not slept a wink for a week.

Expression

No pegar ojo means "not sleep a wink".
