The uninvited guest
Lena gets everything ready for a friend to visit.

Lena bakes a cake because her friend is coming. She puts it on the table.
"Wenn du da bist, trinken wir Kaffee", schreibt sie.
"When you get here, we'll have coffee," she writes.
Es klingelt. Lena öffnet die Tür. Ihre Freundin hat Blumen dabei.
The doorbell rings. Lena opens the door. Her friend has brought flowers.
Die Katze sitzt auf dem Tisch. Der Kuchen ist weg.
The cat is sitting on the table. The cake is gone.
"Gut. Dann essen wir die Blumen."
"Fine. Then we'll eat the flowers."
After weil and wenn, the conjugated verb goes to the end.
Ich backe, weil du kommst. Wenn du kommst, trinken wir Kaffee.
I am baking because you are coming. When you come, we will have coffee.

Wenn can mean if or when. Here it refers to an expected future visit.
