Bike hire in Annecy

Samedi, Léa a loué un vélo à Annecy. Elle est partie tôt le matin.

On Saturday, Léa hired a bike in Annecy. She left early in the morning.

Elle a fait le tour du lac, elle a nagé et elle a mangé une glace.

She cycled around the lake, swam and ate an ice cream.

Le soir, elle est revenue au magasin, très, très fatiguée.

In the evening, she returned to the shop, very, very tired.

« Alors, c’était bien ? »

"So, was it good?"

« Super ! J’ai vu les montagnes, j’ai pris plein de photos… »

"Great! I saw the mountains and took lots of photos..."

« Et le vélo, il est où ? »

"And where is the bike?"

« Le vélo ? Euh… il est resté chez le glacier. »

"The bike? Um... it stayed at the ice cream shop."

Partir, revenir, rester: use être in the passé composé.

Elle est partie. Elle est revenue. Il est resté.

She left. She came back. It stayed.
